Picturing Health and Hygiene for the talibés of Mbour
With a generous donation from the Kathryn Wasserman Davis 100 Project for Peace Award, The non-Profit Kids of Dakar, in partnership and in support of the organization ALEFS, is in the course of implementing <<PROJECT TALIBE>>, a health and hygiene intervention program geared toward improving the living conditions of the Talibés of Mbour Senegal.Over the course of the next 12 month, an intervention will be led in 6 darras, 3 of which will receive a more profound assessment, given that they house the majority of children (221 of them) the project will cater to. Meal Program with SAmusocial Senegal
As part of our commitment to engage and collaborate with Grassroots Organizations In senegal who are also fighting on behalf of these children, Kids of Dakar has partenered With Samusocial Senegal in the creation of a meal program to support its talibés. With Kids of Dakar weekly subsidizing the preparation of fortified meals, the hope is to enhance the nutritional value of the food the children are served as an effort to address the issue of malnutrition they are often faced with as part of their living conditions.
